My Property Lines
See where you stand relative to the property lines around you.
What is My Property Lines?
My Property Lines shows the boundaries of nearby lots alongside your GPS position. Open it on your phone to see which parcel you are on, the lots around you, and the distance and compass direction to the nearest property line.
Explore the lots around you
- Switch between street and satellite maps with parcel boundaries overlaid
- See your GPS position and an accuracy circle as you move
- Read the distance and direction to the nearest boundary, with an arrow pointing toward it
- Enable the compass to see whether the line is ahead, behind, left, or right
- Tap a parcel to see its available attributes
Get started
Open the app and allow location access. Choose “Find parcel layers for my location” to find available parcel services covering your position, then select a layer and save it. You can also enter a county ArcGIS parcel layer URL in Settings or load a GeoJSON parcel file.
Parcel coverage depends on the data source you choose. Imported GeoJSON parcels are stored on your device for offline use; online parcel queries and map tiles need a connection.
Understand the accuracy
The app shows GPS uncertainty and warns when that uncertainty is larger than your distance to the nearest line. Phone GPS and county parcel maps are approximate; use the app to explore and orient yourself, and rely on a professional survey to establish an exact legal boundary.
Keep it on your phone
Use My Property Lines in your browser or add it to your home screen. On iPhone, use Safari’s Share menu and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, use your browser’s Install app or Add to Home screen option.
